With help from our experts, you will meet key milestones required to qualify for incentives under the Promoting Interoperability Program managed by the DC Department of Healthcare Finance (DHCF).

Practices can earn incentives available from DHCF that contribute to the adoption, upgrade, and optimization of health IT and/or approved case management systems and connection to the DC HIE. Incentive amounts available to practices vary by assigned track.
There are different levels of health IT adoption among HCBS providers in the District. The Program was designed to offer three tiers, or tracks, of incentive amounts, depending on whether a provider organization needed to adopt a new health IT system, upgrade to a certified health IT system, or connect their existing technology to the DC HIE.
Provider does not currently use an EHR or needs to migrate to a new Certified EHR to connect to DC HIE.
Provider has an existing EHR but it is not using the latest or certified version of the EHR to connect to DC HIE.
Provider has an existing EHR but is not using the latest or certified version of the EHR to connect to DC HIE.
We help participating providers develop a plan to achieve milestones and submit attestations to receive incentive payments.
The DC HIE is the designated health information exchange serving the District of Columbia.
It enables doctors’ offices, hospitals, labs, radiology centers, community-based organizations, and other healthcare entities to share patient health data and social determinants information.
